EUIPO organises a Joint webinar on Common practices CP16 and CP17: ‘Signs describing the subject matter of goods and services’ – ‘Distinctive character of slogans’

The CP16 and CP17 Common Practices were developed collaboratively by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP), the Member States’ Intellectual Property Offices (MS IPOs) and User Associations. These practices aim to bring clarity and greater consistency to two challenging topics: analysing signs that describe the subject matter of goods or services (CP16) and determining the distinctive character of slogans (CP17).

This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the experts who developed these Common Practices, as they explore the core principles and share practical insights.

Members of the BOC have participated in consultations concerning the CPs.
